Data stored

This application stores player names and scores in a database. For regular sessions (non-tournament), nicknames are strongly recommended — no real names needed. Inactive sessions may be deleted without notice.

Tournament mode

In tournament mode, the tournament organizer enters a participant list with player names. These names are stored until the tournament is deleted and used solely for tournament management and results display. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in running the tournament).

The tournament organiser is responsible for ensuring that participants have consented to their names being stored. The tournament and all associated data can be deleted at any time by the organiser. Deletion on request is also available via email.

User account

Optionally, a voluntary account can be created with an email address, nickname, and password to view personal game statistics. Passwords are stored only as a secure hash (scrypt) — never in plain text. The email address may be used to inform you about new features or offers (only with your consent). It is not shared with third parties.

Cookie

After login, a technically necessary session cookie is set (user_session, httpOnly, SameSite=Strict, 30-day lifetime). It contains only a signed user ID — no tracking or advertising data. Consent is not required under Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive. Users without an account receive no cookie.

Transactional email

Mailjet (Sinch France SAS, France) is used as a processor for transactional email (e.g. password reset). Only the data necessary for delivery is transmitted (email address, message content).

Hosting

The application runs on a server by Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany). Hetzner technically processes connection data (IP address, timestamps).

Your rights & deletion

You may request access, correction, deletion, or object to processing at any time. A short email to skatpunkte@posteo.de is sufficient. Data will be deleted promptly.
